Thanks first to our hosts, the Williamson family who invited us. Al Williamson called Tony, our past President who called me with this exciting opportunity. The first thing I did is call Betty Urbanski, our amazing cook and former restauranteur. Less than 24 hours later Betty communicated costs per paper plate, pancake, coffee, etc We took the numbers to our BOD who approved this venture.
Thanks to Linda for controlling admission and being the recorder of this event. Her service and dedication to our club is truly outstanding.
I'm so proud of the number of Optimists who came out to set up. So many more to prep, cook, serve, smile, clean and have all the fun.
Thanks to our students who did a great job serving and smiling.
Thanks to Patti Morneau for keeping us following food prep code.
Thanks to our volunteers who came to clean up, pack up. You all know who you are. You all need to feel really great about your contributions. Thank you.
With any new venture there are going to be challenges. We faced some electrical overloads and owe a huge thank you to Jim Waite for going outside the box to make magical connections happen.
Of course, the Williamson and Bloom Park connection (Joanne Huggins facilitated the use of the campground's facilities) and co-operation are the key to this great community event. From the farm to the sugar bush to breakfast it's a team effort.
We had a great time and look forward to future endeavours.
Optimistically

The Williamson 'Farmily' – Al, Chris, Phyllis, Jill and all our helpers – Doug, Ashley, Carrie and Joe want to thank the Optimist and Bloom Resorts for helping bring this event back to the community.
It is exciting to see the response and the way you stepped up to do this.
This event is a promotion for our family farm but all profits go to the Optimist and back to our community.
Congratulations on a successful event.
The Williamson Family.
