At this month's meeting club members were treated to a special presentation by Mason Puzara. We've watched Mason over the years growing up and now, as a high school student, he has blossomed into an excellent writer and presenter. We were all impressed to hear his essay submission for the 24-25 Optimist International Scholarship Competition, where he has represented our club with a focused piece of writing that describes "How Optimism Has Paved My Road to Success". In it, he describes some of the challenges he has overcome, and narrates how the many positive aspects of his ADHD have helped him flourish with the help of optimism and, of course, his supportive family. Well done Mason! Please take a minute to read his excellent submission.

I am so touched and blown away by the words I have just read all put together by Mason. Good for you young man. This essay made me comprehend and feel as though I was on an adventure with you and through it all I was able to grow in my comprehension of the challenges you face. But moreover; I was reminded of all the positives you drew from your experiences and how you appreciated what you gained from them. That is true optimism. Great job !!!!! Leave a Reply. |
