Huge thanks to Dan at Total Moving for donating his time and equipment, and to his very strong helper, for picking up and delivering a refrigerator (donated by a generous anonymous GB resident to our club to replace our old unreliable one). Although our members are always willing to pitch in, getting those appliances up and down our steep staircase and loading/unloading really required professionals! Thanks for supporting our club Dan!

In our community nobody fights alone - we will always have each other's back! This community came out in a HUGE way to support one of our own. We are proud to have had our own members conceive the hugely successful fundraiser for Raquel Murray. It all started after an Optimist meeting with 3 people bantering ideas (Linda’s what if/could we/where do we begin) and of course Betty immediately imagining the logistics of feeding hundreds of people - which she did! The emails started, a committee formed, volunteers, Raquel's family and friends, and so many businesses, individuals and organizations jumped on board. Our club's members helped out to support the efforts in any way we could. Thank you to everyone who contributed in any way, big or small, to support Raquel.  |
