SWONT District Zone 8 Meeting

This morning our club hosted the Zone 8 meeting of the Southwestern Ontario District (SWONT) of Optimist International. In attendance were representatives from five of our Zone 8 clubs, along with current District Governor Nicky Bolton, Governor Elect Ritchie Stewart, and Lieutenant Governor Pauline Shannelly. Perhaps the most distinguished guest was Casey Bax of the Parkhill club - he has been an Optimist for 51 years!!! It was wonderful to hear all of the great things our clubs have been doing, along with the many exciting future plans. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the great spread of delicious food prepared by our member Betty Urbanski - thanks so much Betty!
