Day One of Summer Camp and we had several Optimist members helping the kids build their own tool boxes. Inside, the kids made glass creations and bowls with Denise and tie dyed their own custom t-shirts.
Day Two of Summer Camp was a super hot one! All activities took place inside, including the presentation about turtles by the Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority. We did some planting with Ginny and Ruth Anne and made some polymer clay creations. Camp Co-ordinator Marissa Thorne and her crew of volunteers made sure everyone had fun and stayed safe!
Well Day Three was another indoor day for our summer campers.
Air quality announcements regarding outdoor activities for children required our Camp Team to make changes to scheduled events. Luckily for us we have a great indoor space and our team and campers pivot well. We enjoyed a great presentation from the Pinery Provincial Park naturalists, and did some line dancing with Diana Cambridge!
Everyone enjoyed a fun filled day!

Day Four! Yoga with Adina, an interesting and fun trip to Lambton Heritage Museum, making personalized coasters! What a great day!
Day 5 of summer camp. We focused on indoor activities due to air quality concerns. Crafts, games, pizza and a movie, snow cones, cotton candy, face painting and creative play. Saying goodbye to our student volunteers - they were awesome. We hope to see everyone again next year!
