This event was as good as the weather! Most of it was in the sun, it was mild out with beautiful fall colours all around, and everyone had fun.
The event was well attended. We went through over 200 hotdogs and treat bags were also handed out.
Thank you so much to our excellent and dedicated core of volunteers who made this happen - including a lot of prep ahead of time.
Lots of young parents were so appreciative!
As part of our “Fire, Water and Ice Safety Education Program” (funded through proceeds from our first 50/50 online raffle and supported by the Lambton Shores Fire And Emergency Service) we were pleased to host the Lambton County Fire Prevention Association's fire prevention safety house. This trailer is used for fire safety education across Lambton County with school aged children. There were 80 kids (& family) that went through the safety trailer. Thank you to the volunteer firefighters who ran the educational tours - and for all they do in our community.
Part of the fun was our pumpkin carving contest. The 60+ pumpkins from the 5 schools were awesome! Participating schools were: Hillside, Kinnwood Central, Bosanquet Central, St. John Fisher and Grand Bend Public. Thanks teachers and staff for making this happen in your school! We know nothing happens at schools without your support and hard work.
