We were thrilled to be able to offer two weeks of art camps for kids! With the additional financial support of Camexicanus through the Backroad Arts Collective grant as well as the Grand Bend Art Centre we were able to provide a program which was fun, educational, safe and affordable.

'Earth Keepers'
The art of nature
Ages 7 - 12
This four day camp connected campers with nature through mindful and purposeful activities incorporating Indigenous knowledge and real animals, plus lots of outdoor activities. Activities included:

paint class with a local artist
opportunities to meet and experience live animals
animal yoga, stories and art

'Happy Souls'
Expressing ourselves through art and music
Ages 7 - 12
This five day camp focused on the art of making and appreciating music. Activities included:

BOTH CAMPS ALSO INCLUDED A WATER SAFETY LESSON PROVIDED BY LIFEGUARDS.
Our camp administrator was Port Franks resident Brette Hamilton. Brette comes with an impressive resume with just a few highlights here:
- Extensive experience working and living in many cultures and countries
- Ontario College of Teachers Registered 2005 - 2020
- Experience teaching in: Australia, New Zealand, Kuwait, Libya, Abu Dhabi & Canada
- Curriculum Experience: Australian, Ontario, IB, UK and US curriculum at the primary level
- Organized successful Sports Day at GBA Kuwait for over 500 students (2006)
- Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance (2011)
- Certified Chakradance Facilitator (2016)
- Deeply committed to professional and personal development
