Our Winter Day Camp coordinator Kristy Lyon did a phenomenal job providing a fun day for kids. We are so grateful to have her as an Optimist member! She has this to say about the event:
“Thanks to everyone who came out to our Winter camp, what a great day!
We started the day with some games inside and out and also made some bird houses! Then after snack it was time for a giant game of capture the flag! Lunch and some indoor play while we set up for some painting!!!
After lunch special guest, Jeffrey “Red” George came to paint with us! Winter wonderland didn’t happen outside, but these snowmen paintings made it a winter wonderland inside!
Red finished up by playing his flute for us, and then many of the kids headed back outside to play again before not wanting to leave at the end of the day!
Special thanks to Trish Anderson, my right hand for the day, I couldn’t have done it without you!!! Keith, Henry, Linda and Lou helped out as well, thanks!!!
