Another new event for us! We were thrilled to help out Algarva 168 - Alhambra Grand Bend with their annual 'Alhambra Fun Day' at the Legacy Center Thedford, ON We brought along our ever expanding collection of 'big games'. Fun and food was enjoyed by around 300 clients, staff and volunteers from Lambton County Developmental Services - LCDS, Community Living, St. Francis Advocates, North Lambton Secondary, Cheer Group, and others. Days like this just make your heart feel good! Summer's coming - are your kids ready to spend more time at home, or maybe make some pocket money by babysitting? We had so many kids out for our Babysitter and ‘Home Alone’ courses! Canadian Red Cross training partner Joy Dawdy was here to deliver the courses as part of our ‘Fire Water & Ice Safety Program’, funded in part by www.OurOptimist5050.ca online raffle. We appreciate the community’s support so that we can continue providing these types of events.  Brought to you by our ‘Fire Water and Ice Safety Program’ (funded in part by www.OurOptimist5050.ca) we had Captain Dave Kaczmarczyk of Lambton Shores Fire & Emergency Services Arkona Station in as a Red Cross training partner to help 15 participants gain First Aid & CPR-C certification.
