Exciting news! Optimist International's 2023 visual arts competition received submissions from young artists from clubs across the world, and we are thrilled to announce that the work of Amelia Legut-Petersen, granddaughter to our club's VP Paul Petersen and his wife Doris, was chosen as a winner! Her artwork will be featured in the Optimist International 2024 calendar. Congratulations Amelia!

What a wonderful afternoon! We were thrilled to have several Charter Members attend our 40th Anniversary Open House, including our Charter President Len Belton! In attendance as well was our SWONT District Governor John Ruth and his wife Carol. Many members both past and present were justifiably proud to celebrate our club’s past achievements and community members dropped in to let us know they appreciate what we do. What a feeling! Congratulations to committee members who worked hard to make this a really special event! Click on the image to see more.
Congratulations to Mary-Lou Glenn of Thedford who won $4,110 in our latest 5050 Raffle! She was presented with her cheque by Treasurer Derek Scott. On the left is President Tony Puzara and on the right is Vice President Paul Petersen. Have fun with your winnings Mary-Lou and thanks for supporting us and Thedford Optimist Club! Many thanks again to our Early Bird prize sponsors Garrett Pedlar of The Pedlar Team - Re/max Bluewater Realty Grand Bend and Peter Rastonis of Port Franks Charters. We do a lot of good and we have a good time doing it! Don't forget to drop by our 40th Anniversary Open House this Sunday 1-4pm and help us celebrate! We also have a Meat Draw at Grog's Pub and Grill this Saturday 2-4pm. Maybe you'll be a lucky winner too!
