The Optimist Bounty Basket is going again by the Community Gardens. Produce in the basket is for anyone who can use it. If you are a gardener and have produce that you can’t use, please feel free to add to the basket!  A collection was taken up at our yard sale to help fund a carved bear for our little local hero Benny but GUESS WHAT? Sculptor Mike Newton came by to tell us he will be creating the bear FOR FREE! All monies collected will go to Benny's family to help with costs for his upcoming surgery (hospital parking, meals, etc.). Our Port Franks community also came together with a drive by parade for the little guy - complete with OPP cruisers and Fire and Rescue! We love our community.
