From our president Karen Puzara: For Optimists February is significant as the first Thursday of February is recognized internationally by Optimist clubs as Optimist Day. Members are encouraged to wear Optimist attire and speak proudly of Optimism, what it stands for and what as members we do in our community. In a world facing so many challenges we should be proud to belong to a club whose focus is to conduct positive service projects aimed at providing a helping hand to youth and spreading our positive attitude. By believing in young people and empowering them to be the best they can, Optimist volunteers continually make this world a better place to live.
